Fading effect

what about faces?
they change.
just like autumn clouds;

memories keep getting forgotten,
and those whom you have known…
they usually die.

  1. It is weird that we almost never remember any faces decently, but insteadt the spirit or the scent of a person. (This is a comment only on the first part of your poem.)

    • yep, that is true. That’s why i added the second part, “and those whom you have known, they usually die”, because, with the passing of the years, that spirit and that scent of the person you have known dies(changes)!

      • I could have just left it like that. I don’t disagree with you on the second part. It just makes me sad.
