Lady of the forest

On a sunny day I woke up
After a long and weary night;
In a forest bathed in dew
I opened my eyes in awe consumed.

On that forest behind the leaves
I saw a shade walking on trees;
Above the grass flying with ease
I saw a moon, two eyes on it!

Struck in heart by those moonlights
Blurred in mind, there I was;
On that forest of memories
Chasing an illusion, a fleeting dream.

Running fast, not catching my breath
Chasing that shadow, I lost my path;
Cut by the thorns, bleeding to death
I felt down, she turned her head.

Facing me were those cold lights
In magic infused, the moon smiled;
Then she walked away just as the night
My heart stopped, I died, I woke up.
